Design Philosophy
As an architect, I have a fascination for spatial quality and strive to design spaces that slow us down as they unfold and help to reconnect us with our natural surroundings.
Architecture is more than just enclosed spaces, I believe that the buildings we live and work in should help us to flourish as individuals.
Now more than ever it is important to value our senses and how they connect us to nature through a sense of awe, wonder, curiosity and enriched interactions. This is what I hope to inspire through my approach to building design and material selection.
When you are in tune with nature, you are in tune with life.
We feel before we think.
Everything comes to us through our senses. The more a project appeals to the senses, the more people will connect with themselves.
It is my hope that the experience of living/working in one of my designs will enrich lives.

Feng Shui
Rosalie also incorporates the ancient design philosophy of Feng Shui into her work which is particularly relevant when siting buildings . This can be extended if desired into ensuring that the home or development will benefit from the dominant beneficial energies of the time period and also to ensure that the spaces created provide the necessary balance to the occupants.
She has studied feng shui since 1997 both in China and Australia, being taught directly by the Chinese Masters and incorporating site, personal and building analysis via the Luo Pan, energy cycles and study of the landform.
Rosalie has worked as a consultant internationally in this field, including China and Inner Mongolia, making her one of Australia's leading Feng Shui Architects.
Rosalie's homes are renowned to be places where you feel relaxed, balanced and at peace.
Rosalie is experienced in the design of Residential Subdivisions along Feng Shui Principles. This has huge benefits to the development as easy flow of beneficial energies are assured, and all lots can be sized, shaped and orientated to ensure all houses benefit from passive solar design and the dominating beneficial sheng chi of the time period.
